Surrey Food Bank Food Hampers
The Surrey Food Bank supplies a nutritious hamper, equaling about 3 to 4 days of food depending on the family size, to registered clients once every two weeks. See below for our registration requirements.
We are open for general food hamper distribution:

Our food, both purchased and donated, is for low-income residents of Surrey or North Delta. All clients must live north of 40 Avenue in Surrey or in North Delta, provide proof of address, dependents as well as proof of income which will demonstrate need. If you live south of 40 Avenue, you would go to the Peace Arch Community Services Food Bank (604) 531-8168.
You can register and pick up your hamper during food distribution hours.
To register, each adult in the household will need:
Picture ID
This would be official, government issued identification, such as a drivers license, BC Identification, passport, status card, Canadian immigration papers or landed immigrant card.
Proof of Address
You must prove that you live in either Surrey or North Delta with an official piece of mail with your name and address on it. Such items as telephone, hydro or cable bills are ideal, or a recent Accommodations & Allowance print out from the BC Employment and Assistance office which will confirm income and address.
Proof of Low Income
From every adult receiving any source of income in your household, you must provide a copy of a recent cheque stub, EI cheque, salary slip or a recent Accommodations & Allowance print out from the Social Assistance office which will confirm income and address.
Proof of Dependents
You must provide the physical Care Cards for each person in your household.
* Please Note: You will be asked to update your information once every 6 months. For disabled clients, the time frame is once every year.
