Ryan has been involved with the Surrey Food Bank since 2004, first as a volunteer, and then as a board member where he has held the positions of Director, Vice-chair and has held the Chair position for the last two years.

 

Professionally, Ryan is the Director of Human Resources for the GRIP Corporation which is a group of construction and manufacturing companies that has offices and facilities throughout western Canada/US including a manufacturing facility in Surrey.  Prior to his current position, Ryan held management positions in Human Resources and Marketing within the hospitality and restaurant industry. 

 

Ryan is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) and attended Kwantlen University College (Arts - Surrey Campus) and holds a Diploma in Human Resources Management from BCIT. 

 

Ryan was born and raised in Surrey/North Delta and, except for 5 years spent in Vancouver as a youth, he has lived here his whole life. Ryan currently resides in North Delta with his wife Jenn and son Riley.
