Julie Cook

Julie has worked in financial services 25 years, moving to Surrey, B.C. nine years ago from Ontario as a recruiting manager, where she achieved record results in the area of recruitment. Soon thereafter she was appointed Branch Manager and most recently Regional Manager of Western Canada for Sun Life.

During her career Julie has been involved with program implementation and evaluation, strategic planning, financial management, human resources, public relations, recruiting, selection, performance management and turning the lights out when you’re the last to go home!

Julie is a world traveler, having visited almost every continent in the world as a backpacker. She has volunteered on building projects in some countries in order to give people homes. She was raised in a community where the population lived with the adage, “live simply so that others can simply live’ and that has stayed with her over the years. Julie believes in making a difference in other people’s lives, without judgment, in tangible, practical ways.
