The Surrey Food Bank (SFB) has an opening for a Manager of Client Services. This position oversees the planning, coordination and administration of programs and client services at the Surrey Food Bank. In addition, the Manager of Client Services works closely with various community groups, committees, and other external agencies around various issues related to the scope of the organization and represent the SFB in the community.

The Surrey Food Bank is a highly regarded, trusted and critical not-for-profit agency providing food for families in Surrey and North Delta in a respectful and dignified environment. The SFB is the second largest food bank in BC and is seen as a leader in the food banking community. In the fastest growing BC community it provides expanded support services connecting clients with a range of community services. Their food hamper program is essential to the region, distributing approximately 5,000 food hampers each month through a small core staff and several hundred volunteers.

The ideal candidate will have proven supervisory and leadership skills and have demonstrated a positive history of cooperating and collaborating within a close-nit team environment as well as working independently when required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with organizational and planning skills are required. Public speaking experience would be a benefit.

Preference will be given to those applicants with previous non-profit experience, or knowledge of program management. Knowledge of issues around poverty is an advantage.

Additionally, bookkeeping &/or payroll experience would be an asset.

Some flexibility around work hours and a valid, clean driver’s license are a must.
