As many of you may be aware, the food bank will be moving from it’s current location at: 10732 City Parkway in Whalley, to a new and larger location in Newton. It’s a huge undertaking, and we’ve been waiting over ten years to take it.

Starting Monday, June 22, 2020 the food bank will be closed to the public as we tear down the existing food bank, and make our way to our new home.

We will continue to be closed to until Monday, July 6, 2020, when we will re-open our distribution services, and will once again be accepting food donation on site.

The big question everyone has been asking, is…..where will the new food bank located, and we are pleased to finally tell you that….

Our new location will be: 13478 78th Ave, Surrey (in Newton)

From June 8th, until June 19th – food banks clients have been receiving extra food in their supplemental hampers, and we will re-open for NORMAL DISTRIBUTION on Monday, July 6, 2020 at 9:30 AM for all clients who typically receive their hampers on that specific day/week. Distribution will continue as per your normal schedule as of July 6th.

We ask that you only come on the Monday, if that is your regular distribution day/week. We will also be open for any donor who wishes to come by with donations.

Our new location is located at 78th Ave and King George Blvd.

We ask that any client call our Client Services Coordinator if they have any questions regarding distribution, and any donor contact our Events & Communications Manager. Donors who would like to make food donations between June 22 – July 6th, can drop food off at local grocery stores in Surrey and North Delta. A list of stores can be found here.
