DATA DESTRUCTION and ELECTRONIC RECYCLING EVENT

March 25 10 AM to 2 PM
You are invited to an electronics shredding event, the purpose of which is to keep your digital information out of the hands of fraudsters while responsibly recycling your electronics.
Where is it? Guildford Town Centre –  parking lot near London Drugs

What should we look for? The RCMP and our partners will have tents set up, you will see a police cruiser and a large RCMP Community Engagement van. Surrey Food Bank will be on-site to accept donations. Finally, ERA (Electronic Recycling Association) will be on-site to process your electronics.

How does it work? Staff at Electronic Recycling Association will be on hand to remove your devices’ memory/hard drives and destroy them on-site for you. Note that some devices are not as easy to dismantle (many Apple products, for example), and these will be taken back to their warehouse for destruction.

What can you bring? Any electronic devices can be brought in for recycling (generally only office and higher-tech devices). There are exceptions, so please refer here first.
