65+ Seniors Distribution
Our 65+ Seniors Distribution is a special pick up time that provides a dedicated day when seniors can collect their food in a respectful and non-rushed environment. During the depot we focus on offering our 65+ clients a more suitable choice of nutritious food such as high protein and low sodium options to encourage the best nutrition possible for our valued seniors. Seniors are fast becoming our community`s most vulnerable population. In Surrey, 16.4% of seniors are now living in the low income bracket. Many seniors are isolated and cannot adequately access the services available to them. In order to support this group of individuals, we have peer volunteers on site to relate to clients and ease their experience. In addition, community groups/organizations with senior specific programming are onsite to offer information and support to those in need.
We distribute at our main location at 10732 City Parkway, Surrey
